FIESTA GARDEN WEDDING | GREENHOUSE TWO RIVERS | SAMANTHA + WALDO

bride and groom in front of balloons and mariachi band

“We went to high school together but didn't actually notice each other until the last semester of Senior year. We were both third wheeling with a group of friends and ended up talking the night away. Then, a few weeks later, our best friend Anna set us up on a date to the sadie hawkins dance for Joplin. Anna told me that Waldo had been dying to go to the dance with me but then told Waldo that I was dying to go to the dance with him. We had no clue that it was a set up until 5 minutes before pictures and I froze. He was too cute for me to ever ask out and I couldn't believe she had set me up like that. But within 15 minutes of talking with Waldo I realized I could easily be myself around him because he was 100%, genuinely himself. After the dance, we never expected to start dating and just continued keeping each other company on group dates until we realized each others company was really all we needed. We never got sick of each other after that. When graduation came, we supported each other with our separate college decisions without the pressure of our relationship. Crazy enough, even being apart for 5 years we actually grew together. Living in separate states never felt like a barrier for us. Our relationship was something we valued no matter where we were. We always supported each other and our separate lives, knowing that we were still building a future together. We are each others balance in life and love being partners on this team!”

Sam and Waldo told me that they wanted a big fiesta wedding surrounded by all their friends and family. I imagined it would be really unique, but I had no idea what I was walking into! Every single detail was so vibrant and thought out. And it helped that Sam worked for one of my favorite florists ;) So you know all the florals and balloons were absolutely breathtaking! I even loved the hispanic traditions like the mariachi band and the pinning of the money on their clothes! This is one blog from Greenhouse Two Rivers that you don’t want to miss!! Sam and Waldo, I had the best day laughing and being surrounded by so many people who love and value you! Thanks for letting me photograph so many meaningful moments.

xoxo,

Kyndal

“Keep your eyes on the prize. Know what you really value about your wedding day and plan around that, it will help you find joy in the planning and make decisions that truly enhance your vision. Also, be present. It flies by and even though it can be exhausting it is such a cool experience to plan such a big part of your life.”
