SHELBY + SCOTT | THE OLD GLASS PLACE | SPRINGFIELD, MO

I smile every time I think of Shelby and Scott. Somehow I went from being their photographer, to bonding over margs and tacos in KC, to grabbing drinks at Finnegans with them after the wedding, to casually planning a vow renewal so we can all go drink on the beach. A girl can dream right?? ;)

“Scott moved to Springfield just prior to his freshman year of high school and we were in class together, however we only knew each other in passing during our freshman year. During our sophomore year, we officially met at a mutual friends' house. We started "texting" as high school kids did back then and Scott asked me on our first date - to see the movie Four Christmases. Keep in mind that neither of us could drive, so our friends dropped us off at the movie theater. After their first date, of course Scott was head over heels for me! Who can share popcorn with extra butter and not end up together? He 'officially' asked me to be his girlfriend at the end of the year football banquet on December 10, 2008 (yes you read that correctly; it was a decade ago). We went to Drury together, where we met even more of our mutual friends. Then our lives moved us to Kansas City when I started medical school. We lived in Kansas City for 2 years before he proposed with his grandmother's ring at Springfield Catholic, where it all started. And the rest is history!”

You two are the absolute best and I’m thankful to call you friends! Enjoy your wedding story ;)

xoxo, Kyndal

Some advice from Shelby >> “Pick what is important to you about your wedding day. For us, we weren't really focused on the small things - the centerpieces, decorations, etc. Our requirements for our wedding day were good food, plenty of alcohol, and good company. We were much more focused on making sure all of our friends and family would be there to celebrate and have a great time with us. Definitely don't sweat the small things, but be sure to know what you want! Oh and pick Kyndal to be your photographer!!” << Such a suck up!
